A standard (but clumsy)
black fruit aroma, of a character that certainly suggests a wine made from one
of the main Port grapes, without seeming heavily oaked in the Portuguese way.
(Or perhaps now the Portuguese way of yesteryear.) Plenty of dark fruit, and
some tannins that don’t make the wine inaccessible, but no depth, subtlety or
complexity behind any of this to detain analysis – very entry level.
75/100
